The homeowners were having issues with rusty water and their softener and iron curtain were not functioning properly. They called in to see if we could help them out with new pieces of equipment for their home. Jason our project coordinator was able to get out to the home to check out the water conditions. He found that the water was very hard and had high iron. He recommended an ES-1044 softener and and EVFE-1248 iron filter. Mrs. W. elected to have our equipment installed. Our installer Garrett was able to provide them with a nice, clean install of this equipment.
Ms. W. had been living in a home that had an iron filter that was not in service. While having some plumbing work done, the decision was made to put the iron filter back into service, and this is when bigger issues started to arise. Not too long after putting the iron filter into service they began having staining, issues with the water softener and many things in the home were becoming built up with iron. Luckily, due to Home Advisor, Ms. W. found us as a water expert in her area and we were able to get out to her and take a look at the situation. It was found that she had enough iron to warrant an iron filter, but something about this older iron filter failed immediately and caused a replacement for the water softener to be needed as well. After water testing and looking at all available options, Ms. W. found that the ES water softener and the EVFE iron filter was her best route to good quality water. Her home is now with brand new equipment that is capable of taking care of such water conditions and is clear of sediment and staining.
This customer called the Clean Water Center as he was renting a competitor's unit and was not very happy with them anymore. They had installed a water softener and a chlorine injector that never really worked from the beginning, and he was never even told why it was put in, in the first place. They were finding iron staining in toilets, kitchen sink, and dog's water bowl.
A Project Coordinator went to his home, and found that he had hard water and a very small amount (.5ppm) of iron in the water. But the Iron was Ferric Iron, and sneaking past the softener, causing the iron staining. He did not have enough Iron to need an Iron Filter, but the Ferric Iron needed to be taken care of, so the staining would stop.
The Project Coordinator recommended a new water softener, with an in-line Maz Filter installed after, to catch the Ferric iron that was getting past the water softener. The customer decided to have us install both pieces, and also decided to go with the maintenance plan, so that we could help him take care of his new water treatment equipment and make sure his water stays the way he wants for his home and his family.
Dawn and her husband Vern just moved into a home in Sherwood. One of the first things they noticed was the years of hard water marks and build up around all their water fixtures in the home from the previous owner. They wanted to make sure that this did not happen while they lived in the home so they called Clean Water Center to see what they could do. After discussing their options with a Project Coordinator, they decided to install an EVRC-1054U, a unit that treats water hardness and the chlorine used on city water supplies. They also purchased a reverse osmosis system for food grade drinking water. A maintenance plan was also added to their purchase to cover all their water treatment equipment under a lifetime warranty and so they could have CWC out regularly to make sure all their equipment staying in perfect working order.
Mr. and Mrs. S were having hard water and iron break through throughout the house with their past equipment. The industry average for the life-span of water softeners is about 10-15 years, and with a unit that was 11 years old, it wasn't performing to the quality this family deserved. With the fluctuation of extremely hard water and iron being present, we equipped this family with an iron filter and a resin water softener that would address any fluctuation in hardness. Mr. and Mrs. S now have their water being treated with the EVFE-1248 and the EVR-1054U that is supplemented with a Lifetime Warranty.
