A service call for repair uncovered a water softener that was installed in 1999. The industry average life expectancy is 10-15 years for a water softener. Realizing this, our Service Technichian Kyle determined the costs to repair the existing unit far outweighed the cost to purchase new. The homeowner elected to meet with Jason our Project Coordinator and decided to go with our Evolve Series Conditioner.
Mr. and Mrs. M were having odor coming through their filter that addresses iron and odor. After having us come to the home to assess the situation, they determined that it made more sense to invest in a replacement versus fixing an aging system. We went with the EVFE air charge filter that is addressing both the odor and the iron that the older system wasn't handling.
Mr. and Mrs. P. had moved into their newly built home for a couple years and had no issues initially, but as time went on, they noticed some discoloration in the water. The oddest part of their discolored water was that they were on municipal water, and it's not common whatsoever to have discolored water from the city. After a service call and consultation, it was found that the chlorine in the city water was breaking down the media in their water softener and causing a discoloration. The solution was to install a whole house filter prior to the water softener that was capable of removing chlorine and chemicals that would harm the water softener and cause other issues like the discoloration. They now have a certified filter that not only removes chemicals and chlorine, but also lead and cysts.
Mr. and Mrs. K. had moved into their new home in Seymour and it was only a short while before they noticed iron staining all around the house. They of course wanted this remediated right away so that their new home wasn't wrecked by iron particles. Clean Water Testing our sister company had done their well and septic inspection through the real estate process and gave us a call to address the aesthetics of the water. After finding that they had much higher iron levels than the existing softener could handle, we showed them the EVFE iron filter. They are now without iron staining and are protecting the existing softener as well.
We had a customer of ours buy a new house on well water. When buying the house they had the well inspected and tested by our sister company Clean Water Testing. The health and safety testing passed but once the customer moved into the home they noticed orange in the toilets and sinks, they planned and doing some work on the house and didn't want any new sinks or toilets getting stained. The customer gave us a call too see what we could do to help. Now that the customer owned the home we could test for the iron and hardness of the water. We found hard water and a high amount of iron in the water, the softener in place was not working and should be replaced. After going over some options with the customer they went with the ES water softener and EVFE iron filter. After a clean and quick install the homeowner is now enjoying the new home with clean water!
