This customer called the Clean Water Center with concerns of hard water scale build up, and orange discoloration on their toilets and sinks. A Project Coordinator went out to assess the customer's water conditions. They were on city water and had an old softener that wasn't even working anymore. The Project Coordinator tested the water and found 16gpg of hardness and .5 ppm of iron which was causing their issues. After speaking with the customer and letting them know that a water softener would fix their water concerns, the customer decided to rent an EVRS-1044 water softener from us.
This customer called into the Clean Water Center with high iron concerns due to discolored, and smelly water. A Project Coordinator went out to his home to assess the water and plumbing. They tested the water and found the water to be very hard at 36 gpg, high iron at 5 ppm, and a strong smell of sulfur from the pressure tank. The customer had an old softener and some in-line filters installed that was there before he purchased the house. He was not very good at remembering to change the in-line filters, and found it to be a pain when he had to.
After discussing options, the homeowner decided to go with a new EVR-1054 water softener, and an EVFE-1252 Iron Filter to take care of the iron and the sulfur.
After the install the customer is happy, the water is clean and clear and does not smell like rotten eggs anymore.
Older system needed to regen daily to keep odor and staining away.
We installed a new softener and an iron filter
Mr. and Mrs. G were having concerns about their water softener that was aging and allowing iron to break through and cause staining. After setting up a consult and having our Project Coordinator go to the home and assess what was going on; we found that the old softener was iron fouled and was actually the source of the staining. After moving forward with an EVRS, we no longer had a unit that was bleeding iron and it is now providing consistently softened water.
Mr. F moved into his retirement home in Waupaca and found that the water softener there at the home was not providing softened water. After assessing Mr. F's water conditions, we found that he would see the most benefit out of the salt efficient EVR, but also from the Ultroflow Reverse Osmosis to provide good Food Grade water for their drinking and cooking.
