- FAQs:
Q: What makes the ClearHome filter housing unique?
A: The ClearHome™ is often chosen for its versatility and high-capacity whole-home filtration. The system supports a range of cartridge options, including carbon block, double pleated depth, string wound/meltblown, and nano filters, targeting sediment, chlorine, chloramine, taste, odor, and other common water concerns. The durable housing, high flow rates (up to 8 GPM), and easy cartridge replacement make this option a durable, long-lasting solution for city and well water.
Q: Is ClearHome compatible with city and well water?
A: Yes, the ClearHome™ is compatible with both municipal and well water sources. Your local dealer can help you choose the best option for your water quality needs:
- Pre-filtration is best for well water, especially if it contains heavy sediment, iron, or other particulates.
- Water that is unsafe or has an unknown quality should be disinfected before or after the filter.
Q: What kind of maintenance does the ClearHome filter housing need?
A: ClearHome™ filter housings are a low-maintenance solution, involving periodic cartridge replacement, typically every 6 to 12 months depending on your water quality and usage, system flushes to remove debris buildup, and checking O-rings and seals during cartridge changes to ensure a proper seal. Also, no electronic or smart monitoring is needed because maintenance is determined by water flow and quality.
